The Brief

• Create a low or no maintenance garden.
• Provide a garden which can be view.
• Replace the shared fence to one side.
• Propose a design for an area occupied by an old shed base, under the back wall.
• Reuse existing material and remain within a set budget.

Our Concept

• Reuse the existing shape and refresh the existing paving.
• Remove all turf and replace with hard landscape which requires non maintenance.
• Build the centre circle fan design from hand cut grey limestone and grey sandstone with infill of contrasting gravels.
• Install soft planting with grasses and structural plants.
• Install a granite globe on a millstone as the central feature.
• Place a weathered Irish Limestone feature stone against the rear wall.
• Split the existing bamboo to frame the decking.
